  • How do I create my own gift box?

Go to the 'build your own gift box' link in the menu and click on the custom gift box or the custom bridesmaid gift box. Choose the box outer sash style and the raffia ribbon colour. Add a white gift tag and/or Savoir Vivre postcard gift message. Add this to the cart.

Add any small items from across the store separately to the cart - select items from all homeware and gift items. These items will be added to the gift box you have selected. Select approx. 5-6 items per gift box.

If you are worried your items will not fit in the gift box you have selected, don't worry - the box size will be selected to match the products you would like in the box. This will be provided at no extra charge to the box you have added to the cart.

*Please note: Some items will not be available to go into gift boxes due to size, Items which do not fit in gift boxes have this mentioned in their description. 

  • How do you write the messages on your Savoir Vivre postcard?
  • What is the message word limit on a postcard?
  • Do all items purchased in store get a complimentary gift card?

The Savoir Vivre and 'Will you be my bridesmaid?' postcards have a blank side on the back of the postcard where a handwritten message can be placed to your recipient.

Simply leave your message to your recipient at checkout in the 'message requests' box at checkout or on the gift box page with the gift message text box. The postcard can fit up to 50 words and will be written in black ink pen. We can also leave the postcard blank if you prefer to fill it out yourself and you are not delivering direct to the recipient. Gift boxes also have the option of a gift tag message attached to the raffia bow.

We offer a free gift message postcard for all purchases in store - you don't need to purchase a gift box to include one - leave your message in the comments box at checkout.

  • What is the message word limit on a gift tag?

The plain white gift tag if selected is added to the outside, top of the gift box (on the raffia bow). You can have a message up to 10 words. The gift tag is more suited to a simple message than the postcard. This will be hand written in black ink pen. Simply leave your message to your recipient on the custom gift box page. e.g. Happy Birthday Ann! Best Wishes XX Kate. You can also choose to leave this blank if you prefer to write it yourself once the box has been shipped to you (if not sending direct to your recipient). 

  • Can I shop any items without adding a gift box?

Absolutely! You can shop all of our gifts and homewares as you normally would at any store. You don't have to purchase a gift box to fill and you can buy any item on its own or together. 

  • Do you offer pick up locally?

Free contactless pick up is in Awapuni, Palmerston North after 5pm, Monday to Friday (details of where to pick up will be provided after purchase) or locals can choose to have it delivered within the Manawatu region at the checkout. Local shipping rates are offered at a cheaper rate due to our shipping partner. If you urgently need a gift in the weekend in Palmerston North and would like to pick it up - contact us and we may be able to help!

  • Do you allow 'parcel leave' instead of 'signature required' on parcel delivery?

All orders that are sent by courier require a proof of delivery signature. The signature requirement is automatically added to all of our orders as this helps protect valuable items and gifts from being stolen or lost.

If you would like to remove the signature you can untick 'signature required' when the tracking details come through from the courier company. The tracking link for your parcel is sent to you via email. Click on this tracking link in your email and this will direct you to login to NZ Post to update your shipping preferences and instructions for the courier. We cannot accept any liability if a parcel goes missing while with the courier. 

If you are not home to sign for a 'signature required' parcel, the courier will leave a delivery card advising you where the shipment can be collected from in your area. Some couriers offer another delivery time for your convenience.
